Are You Getting Sold Fake Food?

Are You Getting Sold Fake Food?

There is a lot that happens behind the scene in the food industry that most people have no idea the implications of, things such as lobbyists pushing for more sugar products, skewing data to blame others and promote their product, companies using filler and fake meat in their products. Companies creating fake meat from unhealthy products and claiming it is healthy.

The latest to hit the internet is Subway getting sued for their tuna, not actually being tuna at all. So they go on to sell tuna and claim it is healthy and get away with it. While we are on the subject of Subway they also cannot consider their bread actual bread. Yes it has so much sugar that it isn't bread.

Think about that, people are eating something they think is bread and is “healthy” for them when in reality it is far from the truth.

Another one that is well known is Taco Bell’s so called meat, but they cannot consider it meat they have to call it a taco meat filling. Are you that surprised?

Many food companies that make processed food use the strategy of combining filler ingredients, oils, food coloring, and flavor to create a so-called actual food product. And they market and sell it as the real deal, but they are lying to your face and they do not care.

The latest and biggest trend to be a hot topic is pseudo meat, fake meat, the so called plant based meat, the impossible meats, beyond meats whatever other brands that are out there. But are these so-called “plant based meats” anything worthy of eating?

The answer is NO!

Marketed the right way it sounds like they MIGHT be an healthy alternative to meat but its far from it. Ingredients such as methylcellulose potato starch, coconut oils, canola oils, sunflower oils, cultured dextrose, any many more.

The problem is the ingredients themselves research has shown that consumption of vegetable oils, especially canola oil has on the body. It causes metabolic dysfunction, increases systemic inflammation, and leads to the ever increasing diabetes problem.

So do you think your fake meat burger is doing you any good? Think Again

The sad thing is nothing is going to change this, the food industry is so corrupt and guess what they do not care about your health. So instead of getting lied to each and everyday its time to take the healthiest path.

It will seem difficult and can be at times, there are foods that will seem to be “healthy” but start looking at a couple things when you go shopping or get food out.

  1. Look at the ingredients
  • If the product has more than 3 ingredients put it back on the shelf,
  •  if you cannot pronounce the ingredients put it back its crap and should not be consumed.
  • If it has canola oil, sunflower oil, vegetable oil stay away from it

  1. Is it whole, natural food?
  • Does it grow from the earth, from the ground, a tree, an animal- if yes then its good
  • Is it made in a factory? Then NO- most likely made with “fillers” and unhealthy oils
  1. Shelf life
  • Will it go bad after a couple of days or will it last for weeks? If it lasts for weeks it is a guarantee that there are chemical preservatives in it and oils that are detrimental to our health.

The food industry wants you to believe them so they can keep making a profit off of you but at what cost, your health! Its is now on you to make the right decisions to put you on the best path to be the best version of yourself mentally,  and physically. Our food choices have a big influence on that, CHOOSE WISELY.
